ABOUT US

Maiku Brando is a design lab based on the traditional and unceded territory of the Coast Salish People, which includes the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Playful, we seek to create joyful things. To achieve this, we care deeply about how materials are mindfully prepared and constructed.

We bring our experience in architecture, art, film, theatre, textile, and industrial design to our work. Our process is to explore methods of making and let them lead us to new discoveries. 

We occupy the city, and also move in the mountains, the ocean, the forest - spaces and places which inform our perspectives.

New things are always in development in our studio - but we don't follow cycles, or seasons, or financial quarters. Maiku Brando only releases projects when they are ready.
